Now Playing Tracks

A campaign ad for protecting the rainforest. Quite plain in appearance, an emphasis on clarity. Does what is intended without many thrills. Simple animations but crisp textured Photoshop elements make this a successful piece.

Scene 7

Into Wuzhen.

Wuzhen is a water town in China. I learned stumbled across it in my research. After the birds fly over the cormerant field they come to this town. i think the water should create a good link. For the first bit of the town Wuzhen, I’ll have to create the buildings in 3-D and learn how to make conincing water, that possibly reflects the birds. I may have the cranes made in Maya. Though I don’t have time to do so myself. I should possibly track down a Maya specialist in my class.

The music

Wuzhen looks like a really tranquil place. It would be nice if the music has a really nice smooth melody to it when the camera enters Wuzhen.

The image below is when the camera takes to the streets of Wuzhen and goes through celebrations. Its the year of the tiger in China. It would be niece to incorperate some of the themes of this festival in it.

The Birds

I discovered, when watching Wild China I found out that many Chinese people have birsds in cages as Pets. On certain days people take there birds out to the Park and hang them up near each other so that they have a chance to mingle with other birds. I thought it would be nice to include these birds in Wuzhen.

The Lanterns

The lanterns in the trees, I think will be made in maya To add some variance to this piece…

…So the camera goes through this arched street with a decorative overhanging display.

This months calendar,

So I want to create my story bored, edit some characters and start animating by the end of the month. By which time I’ll have about 2 months left for completion. If I can do each scene in 10 days I should be in good stead to get it completed. for the Final presentation.

Their is also a critique on the 25th, it would be really good to have the final animation and possibley some assets to show for feedback from peers. This feedback could help me gain ideas on how to develop my project. As it is easy to become boxed in with your own ideas.

Chinese paddy fields.

This video gives us an idea of the kind of landscapes China has. You can see from this video that there are long stretches of flat lands with forest and then huge mountains behind them. This may be an ideal kind of place to start the animation. As in the rice paddy fields you’ll  have people farming and thenc behind there will be wildlife in the bamboo forests and possibly human and wildlife in the mountains. As you know it is in my interest to incorpeate humanity and nature at one in this piece.

China

China is a huge country, the capital being Hong Kong. A city full of neon lights and business. Though it does habe one of the most amazing diverse nature side ot it. From the the grand mountains, to the lakes and jungles.  here’s some of my favourite shots of the people and environments I’d like to display.

Fig 1

A traditional Chinese fisherman, paddling in a beautiful lake, with the surrounding mountains. This is a very atmospheric shot. It looks extremely peaceful and tranquil.

Fig 2

This would be a good image to include and add some variation into my piece. The  straight patterning of the trees and formation look s like it could become quite accomplishable in after effects.  This may well be a shore feature in my animation.

Fig3

Here’s a Chinese farmer working in a splendid open ended field, it gives the viewer a feeling of freedom and atonement with nature. The ground, the mountains and the sky would be achiveable by using dofferent layers in After Effects.

Scenerys of cambodia,

Here some pictures who a chinese friend kindly allowed me to use. She’s visited Cambodia, Vietnam and Tibet. I’m going to post up some of these and think about which I should animate.

2-A niece shape to add atmosphere to my piece.

3- It would be good use the monks as an example of lifestyle.

4-This is a beautiful scenic shot, I’d like this kind of relative space in my animation.
